In Memory of Sister Jeanne Elizabeth Dwyer RSJ (1935 – 2022)

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and founder of Josephs corner, Sr Jeanne Dwyer in the early hours of Sunday 12the June 2022.

To the very end Sister Jeanne continued to retain her sense of humour sharing a laugh and a joke with the many who visited her. Whilst always in good cheer, many discussions centred around ways in which we must continue to grow Josephs Corner. Even whilst bedridden she was firing away orders about how and what we must do to support those in need in the spirit of Saint Mary MacKillop.

Sister Jeanne had a positive impact on the lives of many during her 65 years serving the community as a Sister of St Joseph, offering her loving care and support in her own unique compassionate way. Whilst she will terribly missed by her family, friends, staff and supporters of Joseph’s corner, her legacy will continue to impact the lives of those who have been fortunate enough to have crossed her path.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Sister Jeanne at Sisters of St Joseph Chapel

13 Havelock Rd, Hawthorn East on Tuesday 21 June 2022 at 11am

Refreshments will follow prior to burial at Melbourne General Cemetery, College Crescent, Parkville at 2.00pm.
